Andrea Nordling
My friend. Welcome back to The Profitable Nutritionist Podcast. We're talking time today. The fact that you don't need more time. You don't need more time, and your clients don't need more time. And this whole concept of needing more time and there's a better time and at a future time, it's exhausting and it's untrue for you and for them. And the reason I'm recording this episode is because I hear this all the time. And my guess is you. You probably do, too. So we're going to address this head on today. This thought, this. I would call it a thought error, which is, I really want to do this thing, but I need to wait until things calm down a little bit. I need to wait till life calms down. I need to wait till I finish this other thing I'm doing.
00:44
Andrea Nordling
I need to wait till I have more time. I need to wait till I'm not so busy. I need to wait until after this next big vacation, this next big season, this next big whatever, so I can really focus. Because when I make this investment, I want to be all in. I don't want to waste a single minute. I want to fully focus on this when I commit. Because when I commit to something, I'm all in. This is what I hear. Can you hear a little bit of sarcasm dripping in my voice? And you know what? I have earned the right to do that, because I've said this myself, I've thought this myself, and I was absolutely wrong. So I get it. I do, I do. I do. I do.
01:22
Andrea Nordling
Our brain is really compelling in telling us that there's a certain time in the future when things will better, the stars will align, and it. It's then, not now. And that, I have found, is rarely true. So I am going to lovingly tell you today that this is probably a lie that your brain is telling you. It's definitely a lie that your clients or future clients or prospective clients, that their brain is telling them and they're reporting it back to you. And it's an important conversation to have. Not because we're doing something wrong, not because there's anything wrong with feeling like there might be a better time in the future. And sometimes that is true. But for the most part, this belief requires a perfection that doesn't exist. It's. Perfectionism is really what it is.
02:06
Andrea Nordling
Dressed up as being pragmatic and dressed up as being just realistic. Right. The. This. Oh, well, just. There's this time in the future, when I'll have more availability, I'll have more energy, I'll have more bandwidth, I'll have more white space on the calendar. And guess what we do? We fill the white space, we fill the bandwidth, and we fill all of it. Regardless. There just isn't this utopia for most people where there's going to be perfect conditions that the stars will all align. That's just not a thing. It keeps your clients from hiring you. It keeps my clients from hiring me. And the problem with that is that we can really help people and I want to help you.
02:44
Andrea Nordling
So if you are thinking this at all in any way in your life or business, you're thinking, okay, as soon as things slow down, I'm going to go all in on this thing. I'm going to go all in on my business. I'm going to really figure out my business, I'm going to finally launch my business, I'm going to finally figure out my messaging, I'm going to change my offer, I'm going to redo my website. I hear all of these things, all of these initiatives that it's like I'm going to gear up to finally do this big thing, because this big thing is the next big thing.
03:10
Andrea Nordling
But I have to wait until this particular season is over first and then I'll be able to tackle it and then I'll be able to fully focus, then I'll be able to maximize the investment, then I'll be able to maximize the coaching, then I'll be able to be all in the time is never perfect though, and it never will be. And every single day, our week month that we wait for perfect conditions is another week that our brain gets to just stay stagnant, stay comfortable, stay stuck, stay overwhelmed, stay confused, stay in this familiar place, which is really what it is. It's a familiar place for us to think that the future will be different. There's a perfectionistic time in the future where things will better and it's not for right now. But the truth is this.
03:49
Andrea Nordling
The results don't come from having more time results in your business results in your client's health. It doesn't come from having more time for having all of this free time for the busyness. Stopping results come from taking the right actions and consistently, even in very small windows of time, even in imperfect circumstances, which I would argue are the perfect circumstances to get started, because we have to be realistic that life will always feel imperfect. It will always feel busy, it will always feel like your time and attention is Being torn and pulled in several directions. That will always be so. When you know how to get to your goals in those seasons, you know how to always stay achieving your goals. You always know how to do that.
04:34
Andrea Nordling
You always know how to get results for yourself, and you always know how to coach your clients to do the same thing. So this fallacy that there's a better time for you to invest in your business, time wise, monetarily, energetically, whatever it is, that fallacy is also going to be you. What you model for the clients that come to you or don't come to you, that there's this perfect time in the future that would better. If you believe that for you will believe their story when they say it for them. So here's the reality. Two to three hours per week is plenty of time to start seeing real movement in your business. And when I say real movement, I don't mean that your website is done but nobody's looking at it.
05:11
Andrea Nordling
I mean real movement like you are out there in the world making offers to real humans and telling them the words I can help you and they are hiring you and paying you for that help. That is real movement. This podcast is called the Profitable Nutritionist. I run a business called the Profitable Nutritionist, meaning profits are the results the that we're after here. I'm not looking to help you have a beautiful website that nobody sees or Canva PDFs that nobody actually gets. That's not a profitable business. I'm talking actual clients that are paying you and getting results. So I offer several avenues to help people get those results. You may or may not be aware, I have a program called the Profitable Nutritionist program. It's a 12 month coaching program.
05:51
Andrea Nordling
Candidly, most of our clients renew far after 12 months and work with us for years. But it's initially a 12 month investment for support from me and my team to implement what we call the repeatable revenue process. The repeatable revenue process is a very specific sequence of actions that you take to get your brain on board with your business. To get confident in your offer, your clients and their capacity to pay you. To get confident in your capacity to show up as the business owner and continually support them. We also build out your process together that you bring those clients through so you're very confident that you can get them the results that they're after. And then we build out your offer together as step one in the repeatable revenue process.
06:32
Andrea Nordling
And the reason that's really important is because you have to be confident in that offer. You have to be confident in your pricing, what you're delivering, and the fact that it's going to yield incredible results for those clients that hire you. Okay, so there's a process to this. Then once all of those decisions are made and you're very clear on what you're selling and the process that you're bringing clients through, we then go sell that process. We're not selling you, we're not selling your availability, we're not selling your worth. That's not what's happening here. We're selling this process that is very well established, it's very well articulated and positioned perfectly for the marketplace and the people you want to serve.
07:06
Andrea Nordling
If all of that is Greek to you, and you have no idea what I'm talking about, you really need my help and I want to make it simple for you and I want to help you do it. But just know that is step one. We have to get really clear on what you're selling. And this sequence of events is really important because you can't go put yourself out there consistently and get momentum in your business if you don't know what the heck you're selling or how you're helping people. So we have to make those steps the priority. Then we get into the messaging, the sales, the marketing, and how we actually are bringing in consistent clients every month. This is what I help people do in the TPN program. I also have a version of the TPN program called the Quick Start.
07:41
Andrea Nordling
And the Quick Start is a four week introduction to the repeatable revenue process where I bring you through stage one of that process over the course of four weeks. And I promise there's a reason I'm talking about this and it does relate to the time, the two to three hours per week and the time equation that we all have going in our mind. But the reason, I need to give you some context here so you know what the heck I'm talking about in the TPN Quick Start, which again is a four week live cohort where I am bringing you through step by step.
08:09
Andrea Nordling
Stage one of the repeatable revenue process where we're setting up your offer, your client delivery process, your branding, the legal aspects of your business, how you are actually taking money and getting paid, all of those very important details that you need to have up and running as the foundation of your business so you can actually get paid and be profitable and help your clients. Those are the things that we're doing in stage one and we do it together in the Quick Start over the course of four weeks. And the reason this is top of mind for me is because I am currently selling enrollment into the next round of the quickstart, which starts on June 22, which is Monday. That's just in a few days if you're getting this live.
08:47
Andrea Nordling
And I have a lot of really interesting conversations happening with people who are very concerned about the timing of this. This is a four week live cohort. Again, we start on June 22nd, it wraps up on July 24th. And I'm hearing a lot of interesting thoughts on the amount of time that is available during this busy time of year and the amount of time that people think it is going to take them to get results in the Quick Start or in their business in general. So the way that the Quick Start is structured is it is two to three hours of focused effort every week for four weeks.
09:24
Andrea Nordling
You don't need to know what that focus effort is because on Monday morning for each week in the Quick Start, four Mondays in a row, you are going to get an email with a series of videos and a checklist attached to it on exactly what you need to watch and exactly what you need to do. It takes you two to three hours, again, a focused effort per week to get to the point where your business is up and running and ready to accept clients and you actually know what the heck you're selling them, what your client delivery process is and how it's positioned and how you're talking about it in four weeks, in just two to three hours per week, which is so much less than most people think they need to allocate towards their business.
10:00
Andrea Nordling
And so I work with people a lot who have been trying to get their business off the ground for months, if not years, and they have spent so much time and so much effort doing a lot of things that didn't move the needle. So the concept for them that they could get results and a lot of traction and momentum and be signing clients consistently from just two to three hours per week of effort really freaks them out. They're like, how can that even be possible? And so I first wanted to record this episode to tell you that is possible and it's also not realistic that you will only ever spend two to three hours per week on your business forever.
10:36
Andrea Nordling
That is not what I'm saying when I say that we spend two to three hours of focus effort getting your business foundations off the ground and getting your business profitable. But what happens for my clients that I work with and in the process, I bring them through and I bet it Also happens for your clients. So pay attention. What happens is when we set that initial ball in motion and we start getting momentum with two to three hours of focus effort per week, and you start seeing results, and you start seeing people reaching out to you, and you're starting to hire clients, and you're feeling so confident about the offer that you're talking about and the process that you are sharing with them and the fact that you are actually selling them. This process, not you, it has nothing to do with you personally.
11:16
Andrea Nordling
And you have so much clarity on how you are actually talking about that. You take more action. You put yourself into positions and situations where you can share with more people who you are and what you do and how you help. And so guess what happens. You get more prospective clients reaching out to you. You get more opportunities. You're making more sales, you're working with more clients, you're getting more testimonials, you're generating more referrals, More people in your life are talking about what you're doing, and the momentum grows and grows. But it doesn't start with 40 hours a week. It just doesn't. That's just not realistic. We get to start small, and we get to build that belief and that confidence and that momentum in small, doable chunks, consistently.
12:00
Andrea Nordling
So that it grows to the point where you are spending 10 to 20 hours per week on your business, consistently, and making the amount of money that you want to make, impacting the amount of clients that you want to make. So I am not saying that forever you will spend two to three hours on your business per week and that it's going to make all your dreams come true. But what I am saying is that to create a sustainable business that doesn't burn you out for the long term, that is profitable, that does light you up and fills your calling and your purpose in this world. You gotta start, okay?
12:30
Andrea Nordling
And be willing to start with two to three hours per week to allocate towards that, even when life is busy, even when there's vacations on the calendar, Even when the 4th of July is coming up, even when there's all of the reasons why you couldn't, shouldn't, and maybe most of the time you wouldn't. I really want to challenge you on that, okay? Because the same thing comes up for your clients. You gotta go first. A concept I always teach, and you might be familiar with this, because I talk about it a lot, is the fact that your clients will always mirror your beliefs. Back to you. Your clients are always the mirror for you will attract the people to you that mirror those same beliefs.
13:08
Andrea Nordling
So if you are waiting for the stars to align before you invest in your business, whether that's monetarily invest in it, whether that's invest time wise, whether that's investing energetically, you can fill in the blanks here for what sort of investment you're maybe not making right now. If this is landing for you, if that's you're going to attract clients who are also waiting for the stars to align before they invest in their health and before they invest in their goals and before they invest in a process with you that's going to get them there. They're always going to be thinking, there's a better time, there's a more perfect time. They have to maximize and squeeze every drop of juice out of that investment.
13:42
Andrea Nordling
And the stars have to align perfectly to do that, of course, the calendar has to be perfect and empty, which it never will be. So you have to go first in this. You have to be the person who says, I don't have perfect conditions, but I'm doing it anyway. I'm going to make it work. I'm going to trust the process. I'm going to take small, consistent action and I'm going to build from there. I have some time, and whatever that amount of time is, I'm going to focus and I'm going to invest in some help and I'm going to actually do this because that's the kind of client that you want to work with, the one who doesn't wait for perfect, the one who commits to moving forward with what they have when they have it.
14:14
Andrea Nordling
They really want the results and they want to start getting momentum and they want to start building habits and they want to start seeing some improvement. They got to get started and you know that. So you got to be that person first. Now, I say this knowing that maybe you are that person, but are you modeling it? Does the world know that you're that person? Do you live that? And you would know because you will be attracting people who are okay. So the proof of this is kind of a fun little story I want to share with you, which is a student of mine in TPN who just finished the last round of the Quick Start and then she upgraded from the Quick Start into the full TPN program, which I should give a little context on.
14:53
Andrea Nordling
The purpose of the quickstart is to get you in momentum, get clarity and confidence so that you do invest in the full TPN program. And we can Build out your entire marketing plan and sales plan and your client process over time to be efficient and somewhat automated so that you have the capacity to take on as many clients as you want to take on. That's what we do in the full program. But to get there again, I want to get you in momentum. I want you feeling the winds, feeling confident and making some money first because win for everybody, right? And I also just want to blow my quick starters minds with how quickly they can make these decisions and they can be in momentum in just two to three hours per week. So this is a student win from Emily.
15:34
Andrea Nordling
If she hears this. Shout out to Emily. We just got off a coaching call on TPN and she said, okay, I just signed my first client for $4200 I might add, at her throw up offer where she's like, oh my gosh, I almost changed my offer right before I made it, but then I didn't and she didn't bat an eye. Paid on the spot, $4,200. She has another discovery call on Friday. This is two weeks into the full program after she started the quick start. And the reason I wanted to jump in and I wanted to record this episode while it's fresh in my mind is because I remember before she started the quick start, her big hesitation was the fact that she had vacations coming up. There was an entire week of the four weeks that she wasn't going to be available.
16:12
Andrea Nordling
She had graduations on this schedule. There was just getting kids launched to college. She has a lot going on, right? And so she said, oh my gosh, there's just a ton going on. But you know what, I'm going to figure it out. And I know that I'm going to get something in this quick start that's going to be really helpful and I'm just going to run with it. So she didn't make it an excuse. She jumped in, she didn't wait. And she just showed up with what she had, with the time that she had. And she did check everything off the list. She did follow through. She created her offer, she went out and sold it. And I was so excited to hear that in less than two weeks she was already selling her premium offer.
16:42
Andrea Nordling
Not that I ever doubted that she would be, but because I remember where she had started from with a lot of reservations about the timing and should I wait? Should I just jump in back and forth? And so I told her, and no uncertain terms, I said, why would we wait to make money? Why would we wait to help the people that you're already going to be seeing at these graduations, that you're going to be seeing on vacation that need your help. Why would we wait to have the frameworks and the confidence to talk to them and tell them I can help you and to get the ball rolling? And she's. She agreed. Why would we wait for that? So she didn't wait. She's having a lot of success. She is enjoying the fruits of that labor.
17:18
Andrea Nordling
But I am telling you, it was two to three hours per week of focused, intentional action. That is it. So my intention with recording this episode is a loving nudge. If you've made it this far, obviously something about this is landing. I want to give you some A loving reflection, okay? If the if you have been circling around TPN for any length of time and you've been considering joining the full program or joining the Quick Start or any paid investment, it's not even with me. If any coaching offer, any investment offer that you're thinking of for your business is something that you've been considering and you haven't taken action on it. Why? Okay, first of all, just that reflection. Why? Honestly, why? Is it because you think it's going to be harder than then maybe it is for you to make that investment back?
18:11
Andrea Nordling
Is it because it's more comfortable to stay indecision and waiting for the perfect time? I think for a lot of us that can be the case. Is it just nerves? Is it just nerves? Have you made some bad investments where you didn't maximize the investment? You don't trust yourself to show up in that way. Maybe some, maybe something there is showing up for you. Regardless, I just want to give a little nudge, okay? If the idea of spending a few hundred bucks and two to three hours per week on something like the TPN Quick Start feels like too big of an ask for you to grow your business, to start your business, launch your business, to get confident in your business, to have a profitable business, to make progress on the big goals that you have for yourself.
18:52
Andrea Nordling
If that doesn't feel realistic, two to three hours a week and a few hundred bucks, I am not judging you, but I just want you to release it with that because it's important information for you to know. Entrepreneurship requires investment. It requires monetary investments, yes. Time investments for sure. Energetic investments, definitely. But mostly it requires a commitment to yourself and to the people that you are here to serve that you're really doing it. So if you aren't ready to make Small, focused investments in your business. I think it is a good time and worthwhile for you to ask yourself honestly, am I really ready to run a business? Do I really want to have a business? And that is not me trying to crush your dream. It is not. It's me respecting you enough to tell you the truth, which is this.
19:42
Andrea Nordling
You gotta invest in yourself and in your dreams. Some time, some money, some energy, some commitment, some belief. All of it is investment in you and whatever the results are that you really want. The people who I see who come into TPN and get the results are the ones that really decide they're ready. They're ready to do something different right now, today. They're not going to wait until the conditions are perfect because that never will happen. They don't want to make excuses about that. They want access to unlock the lowest hanging fruit possible in the simplest way to get results. And they are open to the idea that could be a lot simpler than they've been making it up to this point. Okay, that same thing is happening for your clients.
20:25
Andrea Nordling
They want to unlock the simplest process that is going to get them results in a lot less time and headache and heartache than what they've been doing up to this point. But we gotta invest in ourselves to do that. So the people who I see that get the best results, they're not the ones who have a hundred percent free time on their calendar and nothing else to do and no kids and no family and no jobs and no pets and nothing else going on in their life. That's not it. The ones who have the most success are people who roll up their sleeves and they jump in even when it's busy and it's chaotic and it's not perfect, and they just commit to doing the best with what they have. That is what I want for you as well.
21:05
Andrea Nordling
And honestly, that's why I wanted to record this episode. So if that's not you right now, that's okay. But be honest with yourself about where you are. And perhaps it's not a great use of your time to even be listening to podcasts like this on growing your business. If you really don't want to do that, if it's really not a priority for you to invest some time and some money and some energy and some commitment for yourself in it, maybe there's a better place for you to put your energy. I'm just going to throw it out there in a loving way. Not because I'm trying to crush your dreams, but because I respect you. Enough to say, maybe that's a question you should ask. Now, if you ask that question and you sit with it and you realize, no, no.
21:42
Andrea Nordling
I really do have big dreams here. I have big goals. I have. This is a calling. This is something that's super important to me. It's my purpose. It's why I am here. And I'm gonna do this. I would love to help you do it. The Quick Start enrollment is open right now, but it does close very soon. So go to theprofitablenutritionist.com start which is also linked up in the description of this episode. Theprofitablenutritionist.com start for all of the details and the link to join. Again, get off the fence. Get in there. It's a few hundred bucks and two to three hours maximum per week for four weeks to get you in momentum and start seeing results in your business. Not because you have nothing to do over the next four weeks, but because you're the kind of person that can make it happen.
22:27
Andrea Nordling
Even when you're busy and even when life is going on, you can show up for yourself and always get what you came for. I know that is the case, my friend. Go out, take some action and I would love to see you in the Quick Start or in TPN or in any investment that you need to make for you, which is the next best step moving forward. Go make it. Have a wonderful day, my friend.
