Andrea Nordling
Welcome back to The Profitable Nutritionist Podcast, my friend. We are going to work smarter, not longer. Today I considered using the title work smarter, not harder, but that's not exactly what we are going to be achieving here. We are going to work less hours. Now, yes, that maybe is, you know, the same as not harder for some of us, but specifically not wasting time and not working so many hours. So I want to do a little math with you as we open up this discussion together. How many hours a week are you working on your business right now? Be honest about it. On average, how many hours a week are you clocking? So get that number in your brain first.
00:45
Andrea Nordling
For most of the people that I talk to, their goal is to be working around 20 hours or less per week, which is absolutely doable. But currently they find themselves working either way less than that or way more than that. For the majority of people, honestly, it's way more than that as they're trying to get their business off the ground and get it to the consistent revenue that they want it to be. So if you're finding yourself working way more than 20 hours a week, I think that this is gonna be not. I think I 100% know that this is going to be a great conversation for you to have and I'm gonna give you some great tips here. But even if you are working less than that right now, don't still listen to this episode.
01:25
Andrea Nordling
I'm going to give you some criteria to think through in terms of how you're spending that time and if you are efficient or if you could be actually taking a lot of the things off of your to do list that you're currently doing. So here we go. What is actually happening in a 20 hour work week for most people? Because this is the area or like kind of the 15 to 25 hours. I'm going to use the rough 20 hours a week as kind of our benchmark here because this is where most people want to be and this is where they're coming to me saying that they're working about ish. All right?
02:00
Andrea Nordling
For most people, what they are doing in those 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday, roughly four hours a day, is stuff that feels productive in the moment and gives satisfaction on clicking things off of a to do list. But it isn't actually generating enough clients or it usually isn't generating enough revenue specifically. Okay, so instead of 20 hours spent every week on doing stuff that is getting either no results or meh results in your business, we're going to look at what it would be to have five focused hours instead. And we took 15 hours of work time off of your calendar right now. And then I'm going to challenge you a little bit on why you might not want to do that, why your brain might resist, and where the real growth actually is in answering a few questions around that.
02:51
Andrea Nordling
Okay, so here's. Here's where we're starting. What is actually happening in 20 hours of quote unquote work for most people? What is it for you? Be honest. What are you doing in 20 hours a week? If you even need to pause this episode right now and just do a either written or a mental inventory, how are you spending your time? If a. If a camera was on you every single hour that you are working, what would it capture? What are you actually doing? For most people, it's something along the lines of this list. Are you ready? Consuming content, Watching trainings, Listening to podcasts. Yes. Even this one. Making canva graphics, making PDFs, making things pretty. Tweaking website pages. Agonizing over a homepage headline and the font and changing and re changing. Thinking about making business cards, redoing business cards. Creating social media content endlessly.
03:54
Andrea Nordling
Why? Because you're told you have to be consistent. Of course. And for consistent content to be made, that means six reels a day. Everybody knows that, right? Tongue in cheek, but kind of not. So that means writing and rewriting captions and recording videos and all this for content that not very many people, if any, are seeing. And for most people, not very many, if any, clients are coming from any of this content. But it's being created nonetheless. Or it's being thought of, or it's being planned. Maybe it's making a content calendar. Maybe it's making the perfect plan, getting the perfect organization system set up, researching your niche, reading about ideal client avatars. Do I have one? Is it too specific? Is it not specific enough? Oh my gosh. How are other people in the space pricing their packages? Crowdsourcing, researching, researching. So much researching.
04:50
Andrea Nordling
Maybe you are learning, getting more certifications, you've decided on a niche, but that's going to require another certification or another specialty. So you got to go back to school. Can't get started yet. We got to get more education, right? For those of you that are sending emails, maybe it's writing an email, outlining an email, spending three hours on the email, agonizing on the subject line, writing, rewriting, spending, scheduling, doing tech stuff that just is a huge waste of your time and very inefficient. Now, as I'M going through this list. I want to call out, none of this is wrong. Okay? None of this. You're. You're not doing anything wrong. If you're doing these things and doing only these things, it's a mistake that a lot of people make. I have definitely done all of these things.
05:37
Andrea Nordling
I do not come to you from this high point of never having wasted my own time or being inefficient. But that's how I can talk about this so confidently, because I know the difference in how many people I can help and how much money I can make in my business if I'm not wasting my own time. So I come to you as a product of the product saying, we have to change this. If we are consuming instead of creating, if we are researching instead of publishing, if we are doing anything tech wise that isn't getting us clients yet, and we're not having conversations with real humans that could get us clients in steps. Okay? All of this is sage advice that I have taken myself.
06:16
Andrea Nordling
I understand deeply the feeling of wanting things to be perfect and polished and professional and ready before putting it out into the world. In fact, I went to such great lengths in my nutrition business for two years to create websites, funnels, email sequences and online courses specifically. So I never had to have one one conversations with people where I didn't know the answers to their questions and I would feel ill prepared. I wanted to contrive an entire ecosystem in my business where everything was prerecorded, it was all thought out, I could never get put on the spot, it was passive and I could be spared the discomfort of being told no or not having the answers to questions. That is just 100% the truth.
07:04
Andrea Nordling
And it cost me years of profit and revenue in my business and it cost me the impact that I could have been making helping a lot more people. Until I flip this around and figured out everything that I'm going to try to succinctly bring to this episode. If that is you. So again, I say this as someone who has definitely had all of these thoughts and has done all of these things and then I have turned it around and seen the fruits of that labor. Which ultimately is why you are listening to this podcast right now. If you are hearing the words that I'm speaking, it's because you want to make more impact. It's because you want to make a living doing what you are here on this earth to do, which is help people. And you.
07:43
Andrea Nordling
It's not an accident you are here listening to this for a Reason, because you have this purpose and this passion. So let's make the best use of the time that we have available and actually bring it forth into the world. Okay, how do we do that? Well, we have to be allocating time properly. You have time to work on your business. Again, I. All of this is based on the assumption that you have time that you are already spending on your business. If you don't, we have to make the time, but that's a separate episode. I assume that you're already spending time in your business. Again, we're going to use the arbitrary number of 20 hours because that is what most people tell me they are working and that they want to be working.
08:21
Andrea Nordling
So in 20 hours a week of passive action, of tweaking, researching, learning, creating, listening, consuming and not actually producing and putting yourself out there, you're probably not getting clients. If you are getting a little bit of interest here or there, that's great. But my assumption is that you are not killing it and making all of your income goals and your impact goals with 20 hours of passive consumption for the most part. How do I know this? Because I have worked with well over a thousand practitioners at this point since 2019 in the profitable Nutritionist. And I know that just isn't the way that this works. I know it from my own business, I know it from coaching so many people that's not actually what brings in clients and what brings in the income that we want to make in our business. All right?
09:09
Andrea Nordling
And a real reason for this, I spend a lot of time thinking about it. By the way, I coach people on this. I have a process for how to do it. And I always am looking at stress testing that process. And like, is this working? Is this still true? Do I still believe this? Am I still seeing the evidence that this is true? And the answer is yes. Now why? Like what? Why do I even bring that forth? Because when I think about this and when I deeply consider what is the difference between people who come into our program and get smashing results so fast, send testimonials, they're on the podcast, they're posting in the group saying, oh my gosh, like, this is such a 180 degree shift in my business.
09:52
Andrea Nordling
I have people reaching out to me, I'm sending clients, they're getting such great results. And when they're having huge turnarounds in their business. What, like, why? What is it specifically? Out of all of the things that I teach, and we do have a really simple process and it is very dialed in at this point, but what part of it is it that really gets people feeling that momentum so fast? And seeing such a big turnaround could be different for each person. But the core thing I think is having a feedback loop. What the heck does that mean? You thought I was going to say the emails that they're sending? You thought I was going to say this genius messaging strategy that we give and by the way, I teach how to do both of those things.
10:34
Andrea Nordling
But the way that you send good emails and the way that you deploy good marketing and good messaging and have good conversations is having a feedback loop where you can actually see what is getting results, what confuses people versus what has them leaning in and what is actually answering the questions that they have. How can you present your solution in a way that makes sense to people versus confusing them? These are the things that we have to figure out as business owners, right? This is the, what we have to do in our marketing and in our messaging and in our sales process. We have to be figuring out, okay, how is what is clear to me here that clearly isn't landing for my people? Where are they getting confused? Where are they falling off? How could I make this simpler?
11:11
Andrea Nordling
How could I make it more convenient for them? How could I find more of the right people? These are the questions we're always asking and answering. But if you're trying to do it in a vacuum behind a screen without having a quick two way feedback loop, it is very hard to do that. Okay, you end up building a website that nobody visits. So you don't know that. Is that headline working? You have no idea. You post on social media but nobody responds or very few people respond. And then do you like, do you have any way to know if people actually saw it? Not reliably, because you can't really trust the metrics on there. Can't trust that what you're seeing is even true. So did the messaging suck or did nobody see it? You don't know. That's not a good feedback loop.
11:53
Andrea Nordling
That's not a good way to figure out what is working and what isn't working. If you create an offer but nobody signs up for it, is it because the offer is wrong or is it because nobody even heard about it, nobody knew about it, nobody's even seeing it because they're not getting to your website. See what I'm saying? Instead of getting real information from the market, from real humans in the world about what they need to hear, what problems they have, how they're describing the problem versus how you're describing it, what's the solution that they want versus what you think? Is it actually your offer? Is there, is there a different thing that they need? Is there a different level of support that they're looking for?
12:29
Andrea Nordling
Instead of knowing that, we just keep going, consuming more, creating more digital stuff behind the computer, learning, optimizing, tweaking, researching, getting more education, more building. It feels productive. Spend 20 hours a week doing all of those things and feel productive because you are checking boxes. But is it productive if you're not producing? If you're not producing results for clients and more income in your business, is that production that you actually need or want? Okay, I would say for most people the answer is no. But what makes it really hard to figure out how to get things producing is being in a vacuum. Being behind a computer, being behind a phone, and not amidst the real people online and in person who can quickly give you feedback. Okay, quick conversations, actually having them with real humans online and in person.
13:25
Andrea Nordling
The market is going to tell you everything you need to know, but only if you're in it, actively participating in it. And I say this as someone who has spent so much time, especially in the beginning of my business, I don't feel that I do this anymore. But I definitely did. When I was getting my holistic nutrition business launched, I was making all of my decisions. Maybe not all, but I was making the majority of my decisions. If I'm being honest around the criteria of how could I do this as passively as possible without having to have discomfort and uncomfortable conversations, I really was. So if that's you, I feel it, I feel it. But there is a much better way. You are ready, by the way.
14:04
Andrea Nordling
If you're listening to this episode, you're ready to have conversations with real people in the market about what they want, what they need, and how you can help them. 100%. Okay. Our brains are really good at telling us that we're not ready yet. This one thing isn't perfect yet. These three things need to better first. And that's what has us spiraling on tasks that don't even matter. It's this deep down belief that I need to have more done first before I can put myself out there at the next level. This isn't just for beginners, by the way. Okay, if you're further along in your business, note where this is probably still coming up for you. Because it does at every level. Especially if you're in a rut right now.
14:41
Andrea Nordling
Cause I know a lot of people Are feeling changes in the market and feeling like something has shifted, something is different. And so if that's you, think about this, okay? Are you, Are you not putting yourself out there at the next level because of this belief that you have to have XYZ done, perfected, polished first before you can do so? It's just a really compelling lie that our brain tells us at every level. You need to have the perfect website first. You need to have the perfect funnel first. You need to have the perfect ads first. You need to have a polished social presence. There has to be consistency there. Oh, my gosh, we have to have the right page.
15:17
Andrea Nordling
People have to see that you have content and that you're an authority in your space and that you have 40 hours a week to spend behind a camera on social media. Lies, lies, by the way. Lies. You need to have your entire client delivery process fully mapped out and documented and ready to go before you could even dream of having a conversation with a human. Lies, by the way. You need to have all of the answers and be a complete expert in every aspect of the human body and anything that anybody could ever question you about before you could ever tell someone to drink more water. Do you see how ridiculous it is? I do. You do. We all do, of course. But our brains are so good at talking us into how this is prudent and it's real.
16:01
Andrea Nordling
And it might sound different for you, in fact, I'm sure it sounds different for you. But that the very base of it, your brain is going to tell you, just like mine does, that there's XYZ thing that has to happen first before we can go to this next level, before we can be more visible, before we can do the next thing, before we can go have more conversations, before we can put ourselves into a new circle of people, a new network, a new sphere of influence for any of that, right? Any new endeavor, any new thing. Our brain will be so convincing about how the time isn't right yet. It'll be right in the future. There will be a better time. We'll be more prepared then, right? You know, you know your flavor of this.
16:40
Andrea Nordling
Your brain has a way of convincing you and of talking you into it. Mine does, too. I'm just onto it. I hope you are too, because here's the truth. When you are spending your time, though 20 hours a week, you are spending it perfecting, polishing, working on a website, working on social media posts that aren't getting clients coming in, when you're doing all that you really don't know what to put on the website yet. If you don't have enough clients coming in and if you're not having enough discovery calls and conversations with interested humans in the world. You don't even know what messaging to put on a website. Of course you don't. You don't know what to put in the social media posts. You don't know if anybody's even seeing them.
17:17
Andrea Nordling
You don't know how much do you teach versus how much do you pitch your services. You don't know. You haven't made enough of the real decisions. You haven't talked to enough real people. You don't know your messaging yet because messaging comes from those conversations, not before them. And our brain is very compelling about why that is not true. But it is. When you're looking at the businesses around you that are successful, that have websites. I guarantee to you those websites were not producing leads and making sales and bringing in revenue in the beginning. They weren't. They have come from the intel that is gathered over time. Having conversations with humans online and in person, imperfectly. When it doesn't feel ready, I promise. And when you start talking to real people consistently and that's the number one priority in your business, everything shifts.
18:04
Andrea Nordling
What you thought you needed to say on that website is not what actually resonates. You quickly realize that I never recommend anyone in the profitable nutritionist program does anything on their website until they've made at least $10,000 from their offer. Never. We never prioritize that first because we don't know what to put on the website. So I do sales calls with people for the program and they say, okay, I want to join the program, I really do, but I have to finish my website. And I'm like, pause, stop. Don't do anything more on your website. Absolutely not. We don't even know what to put on the website yet. We haven't validated your offer. You don't know what messaging is landing. You don't even know what questions people are asking.
18:41
Andrea Nordling
How do you know how to answer those questions on a website when we don't know what they are? AI cannot tell you this. It can give you a good starting point and it can tell you that it knows, but it doesn't actually know. It really doesn't. And yes, I have an entire process, an entire bonus course that I teach in the TPN program called Website in a Weekend, which is how to structure your website, how to use AI as a brainstorming partner to validate some of your copy and your messaging. We do use that tool but we don't just go to AI and say hey, help me make this website. Because it'll do it'll help you and it'll pat your back and tell you this is great, this is going to be perfect and it's not going to convert.
19:16
Andrea Nordling
And if you have already done this, you know it to be true. So there's a rhyme and reason for the order that we do things in. We don't need to go off on a side quest here on websites, but it does support surprise a lot of people that I don't prioritize that into your work plan at all until you've made at least $10,000 from your offer. And even then it's not required that you work on your website yet. So know that and there's a reason for it. Cuz you don't know what to say on the website. Okay? So once again, note for people that are further along in your business, maybe working on your website is an important aspect of what you need to be doing right now. Only you know that for sure. But I just would really caution you against assuming that.
19:58
Andrea Nordling
And I would say go back to the and think this through first. Are you having conversations with a two way feedback loop very quickly, quick feedback loop with people so you could even test your messaging angles that are on your website. Are you having conversations with people regularly so you know what they are saying, what they are not saying? I am so grateful by the way. I'll, I'll give a little side quest here which I said I wasn't going to do, but here we are. I am so grateful that I do sales calls for the TPN program which we did not used to do for, let me see, from 2021 to 2025 we never did sales calls for the program, never sold them through emails, through the website, through launches, challenges, webinars, never ever did sales calls.
20:42
Andrea Nordling
And a very good coach that I was working with in early 2025 said, Please will you commit to doing 100 sales calls for the program? And I was resistant to this. I mean I can take coaching and I'm a good student. So I did it. I said there must be a reason why you're asking me to do this. I'm going to take the coaching and I'm going to do it. But I will tell you, my brain was very against this. I had an entitled attitude like I already know how to Sell this. I've sold it to hundreds and hundreds of people. I don't need to do sales calls, but I did it okay. I started doing sales calls. And I am so grateful that I did.
21:17
Andrea Nordling
And I still do, actually, because I learn so much in this very compressed time period where I'm having a two way conversation with someone that I can help and the feedback loop is short and I can battle test all of my theories about what do I think people are struggling with right now versus what are they telling me that they're struggling with? Are those the same things? The feedback loop is short. I get direct feedback right here, right now. And I have changed a lot of the things that I talk about and the messaging because of these conversations. So regardless, I say this because regardless of how advanced your business is right now and how long you've been in business, this is important. Prioritize a very quick feedback loop.
22:00
Andrea Nordling
I don't even know what way to say this, but conversations where you quickly can see and calibrate your messaging and go, okay, is this still what people are talking about? Is this still what they're struggling with? Is have new problems crept up that I'm not even aware of because I'm not having those conversations often enough? Or they're one where one way conversations, where I'm sending emails, I'm posting on social media, I'm running ads. I'm assuming that my website copy still is compelling for my ideal person, but maybe it isn't. And maybe I need a two way feedback loop instead of one way. Just, you know, little reminder there that we can all go back to the basics and it's very usually worthwhile to do so. All right, so we're going back to the math, all right?
22:39
Andrea Nordling
20 Hours a week, Monday through Friday, four hours a day. Most people are creating and consuming and building things that aren't even generating direct conversations yet. It's a problem. Now here's the lean model. Here's a, Here's a different way to structure your time. Monday through Friday. Are you ready? So it'd be five hours a week. We're taking 15 work hours off of your calendar. If you're currently working 20 hours a week, Monday for one hour, you are going to make the weekly plan and you are going to reach out to a few warm contacts and you're going to get conversations on the calendar for the week. I'm going to tell you what we're going to be talking about in those conversations in a second. It's probably not what you think you're going to get those scheduled.
23:18
Andrea Nordling
You're going to actually prioritize Monday morning, planning out the week, getting conversations on the calendar, and then Tuesday through Friday, you're going to actually have those conversations one hour per day. On Friday, you're going to have a bonus half hour. So this is actually going to be a five and a half hour work week. Excuse me, for the gross exaggeration, five hours. It's gonna be five and a half because you're going to do a 30 minute evaluation on Friday with what you learned in your conversations for the week. Okay? So that is 14.5 hours that you just got back. Every single week, if you go to the leanest possible work schedule, which is five hours of having conversations with real humans in the world, talking to real people, getting real feedback, building relationships that are going to turn into referrals in the future.
24:09
Andrea Nordling
Hopefully some of these turn into clients that you book, discovery calls that you book. Okay? But in the 20 hours that you were working before, you're building a very polished digital presence that probably nobody sees, or you're working towards a polished digital presence that basically nobody sees that isn't resulting in actual impact in helping clients impact for your business and for them. Right? And for this reason, five hours, if structured properly, outperforms 20 every time. It outperforms 30, 40, 50. Not because you are working harder, but because you're working smarter. Okay? Which means that you're not working longer, you're working shorter, you're working less hours, and you're working on the thing that actually moves the needle, which is conversations.
24:53
Andrea Nordling
All right, now what happens when you are prioritizing conversations and if you set your work hours to be five hours a week, what is going to happen? I'm going to tell you. You're not going to just work five hours a week, you are going to work more hours. You might even work that full 20. But what you're going to do is you're going to feel motivation, you're going to feel excitement, you're going to feel purpose, you are going to feel very compelled to keep going because you are building momentum and getting a lot more clarity through those conversations about what you should be saying, what you should not be saying, and what you should do next. Clarity comes from action. This is a key tenet of what I teach in the TPN program.
25:30
Andrea Nordling
If you are in TPN listening to this, you've heard me say it one million times. Clarity comes from action. You cannot steer a parked car. Okay? Clarity comes from action. The action that you are taking by prioritizing conversations instead of consuming content or creating content that nobody sees, is going to inform what to do next. It's going to show you what to do next. It's going to have you inspired to work an extra two hours that day on actual priorities that are going to bring in more money, that are going to help more people, that are going to get more conversations, that are going to get you in front of more networking partners.
26:06
Andrea Nordling
But if you're having conversations with people who might be able to be parallel partners to refer clients to you, the more of those conversations you have, the better you get at them, the more confident you will be in setting up more meetings with people who could help you and give you more leads. You scratch my back, I scratch yours. Well, those opportunities don't just fall in your lap. You have to work towards it. And it is so much easier to do that when you're having conversations with real humans. You're building momentum. You can see what to say, what not to say, and you're getting quick feedback. Okay?
26:35
Andrea Nordling
So again, I said at the beginning, when I look at people that are successful in our program with using the process that I teach, it's people that are willing to get out there and get feedback quickly. They're willing to do it sweaty. You don't feel prepared. You don't know exactly what to say, but you're out there initiating conversations. Okay? Conversations create everything. I'm not saying that you should go into the week trying to figure out who you are going to have five sales conversations with or 10 sales conversations with, because what happens, and this is, again, at any stage of your business, I can do the exact same thing, and I take the same advice. Okay? So this is not just for beginners, but beginners. I'm talking to you. This is for everybody. All right?

Andrea Nordling
When you are thinking of, who can I have conversations with this week? It's Monday morning. Okay? I need to prioritize talking to real people online and in person. How am I going to do that? Do not let your brain pre qualify the people. Do not let it go. Oh, my gosh. Well, it has to be somebody who has this exact problem. It has to be this type of demographic. I work with women ages 35 to 55 in perimenopause. And so it has to be somebody who's like that. Don't do that. Okay? Don't pre qualify the conversations that you're having by thinking that you know who's going to say yes at the end. And Those are the only conversations worth having. Don't do that. Okay? Just talk about what you do. Ask questions of real humans in the world. Tell them about what you do.
27:55
Andrea Nordling
Tell them. Honestly, I am just looking to get more experience talking about my business. It's new, I'm super excited about it. Could we have a conversation? People in your life want to help you, okay, do. Take them up on it. Do it. Have conversations. You never know who that person knows that they can refer to you. So don't pre qualify who you talk to and who and what conversations are worth penciling in and what aren't. Don't do that. You will be mind blown at the opportunities that come your way when you're just curious and open and talking to the people about what you do. Ask questions, listen, genuinely connect with humans in the world, online and in person. Doesn't matter. Okay.
28:37
Andrea Nordling
What you're going to get from having at least five of these conversations a week is better clarity on your messaging because you hear how real people actually respond to what you do and how you say it. And you're going to very quickly see that when you say it this way, they have no idea what you're talking about. Their eyes glaze over and when you say it this way, all of a sudden they lean in, they have follow up questions, their mind is blown, they're like, hold on a second, what was that? I didn't know those two things were connected. How does that even work? Wait a minute. Oh, okay. Struck a nerve. Note that, right? That's something to talk about more, that's something to lean into.
29:11
Andrea Nordling
But you can't figure that out when you're just creating your website and creating pages about your offer and putting it out there and not knowing, does anybody seeing this? Are the right people, the wrong people seeing it? Why is nobody clicking? Why am I not getting calls booked? Why is it not working? We don't know. It takes so long to try to iterate when the feedback is only is not coming back in or it's not coming in quickly, when it's only a one way avenue, that's just not helpful. Okay, so when you're having these conversations, you are naturally going to start picking up on words that people use that you should be using, phrases that people use that you should be using at the end of a conversation. Whether you say the words to the person, I can help you or not.
29:54
Andrea Nordling
If you know that you were talking to somebody that you could help, that would be an ideal client for you. You're going to take special Note of what were the words that they were saying, how were they describing things, what are the phrases that they're using and how urgently are they trying to solve the problem? All of these things are data points that you're now taking note of, hopefully you're evaluating afterwards. And then you're going to use that to further influence your messaging and the conversations that you have in the future and how you describe what you do and how you describe the type of person that you can help. Do you know what happens when you do this? You get more confidence talking about what you do.
30:28
Andrea Nordling
I just did a call yesterday with somebody who's new in the program in the last month, and she said, I don't have any clients yet, but I feel so much more confident talking about my business. I know that it's inevitable because I'm putting myself out there and I feel so much better about how I describe what I do. Gold? Yeah, absolutely. Those new clients are inevitable because she's doing this exact thing. But her key takeaway was the confidence that she feels in the conversation. And that's really what you gain here. More practice you have talking about your work instead of just thinking about it, the better. Instead of, I, I'm going to try this and see how it works. You're coming at it with the intention of, I'm going to figure out how to make this work. That's very different.
31:11
Andrea Nordling
You're going to get a different result. When you're not just trying, but you're figuring. Do you see what I'm saying? It's subtle, but it's everything. Same thing with your clients, by the way. When you are having these conversations, you are figuring out what people are curious about, what they actually have no idea about, that you think everybody knows in our silo of health and wellness and holistic health and, you knowing all of the things that you know, you probably are assuming that people know the same things and they don't. They just don't. So it's going to be a reality check for you to recalibrate what your expectations are for what people understand and how.
31:54
Andrea Nordling
How they understand the connections in their body and in their life to their health and really, truly see that they don't have the same understanding that you probably think that they do. But this could be helpful when you have these conversations, right? And then again, I just want to paint the picture of what this looks like. When you have conversations with no agenda except for the purpose of practicing talking about what you do and connecting with real humans, you will get Referrals, okay? You will get warm introductions to people that you can help that you didn't expect. You will get referral partners that you didn't know existed.
32:28
Andrea Nordling
A friend of a friend situation that you had no idea, you couldn't have possibly pre qualified if the conversation was worth having or not because you didn't know that person knew this other person that could help you. That would be a great connection. It will just happen. Okay? And then later, when you do build the website, when you write the email copy, when you put together your offer, and I'm going to help you do that in tpn, by the way, all of this is informed by real conversations with real humans. And you have the confidence to actually do it. You do it faster. You don't spend 20 hours a week passively doing stuff to make yourself feel like you're working on your business, but really you're not. You're actually working on your business. You have a business.
33:05
Andrea Nordling
You feel like you have a business because you have money coming in and clients that you're helping. And when you have that identity of a profitable business owner, you take more action. You take more focused action. You don't waste your own time. People are coming to you, they're magnetized to you. And all of this compounds on the fact that you were willing to have conversations and spend five hours a week in the beginning to do things that didn't, that you didn't feel ready to do. Do you see What I'm saying? Five hours a week versus 20 versus 30 versus 40. That builds confidence when you are spending that time on the right stuff, and the right stuff is conversations with real humans. All right. I hope that this is getting you excited. I really do.
33:46
Andrea Nordling
Because what happens when you make this shift and you're willing to take a lot off of your calendar that you're currently working on? You might be, you might be halfway through outlining an online course or halfway through that website of yours, or halfway through a something that seems like it's a great use of your time, but really it isn't the best use of your time when you're willing to bail on that or to pause it for now to go recalibrate and spend five hours a week having conversations with people and prioritizing that you are working smarter, not longer. This is a real week. You wake up on Monday, you know exactly what you're going to do. It's not foggy, you're not overwhelmed.
34:23
Andrea Nordling
You, you don't spend half of the day on Monday, trying to figure out what your perfect work week looks like and what your perfect checklist should be. You don't do that. You have a simple plan, you execute the plan, you get data from the plan and then the floodgates open and the next step becomes even more clear. But you're building momentum that compounds that. One conversation leads to another, leads to a refer referral source, leads to a bunch of discovery calls, leads to hosting a workshop somewhere, leads to who even knows what. Because you're willing to just have the conversations and get out from behind the laptop and go do the things. You also have 15 hours back to use however you want.
35:02
Andrea Nordling
If you decide that you don't want to allocate all that time to sitting in your office, you can do other stuff and actually your business is going to be moving forward faster. Now, I say this knowing that you're not going to work five hours a week for the entirety of your business. That is not what I'm saying. What I'm saying is five focused hours a week is going to get you into momentum and feel very motivated and very clear on what to prioritize so you can work less hours forever. Okay? But you have to start somewhere. Clarity comes from action. And I will also say that this all works faster and better when you are doing it inside a structured program. I am not going to make any bones about this. This is exactly what I teach in the profitable nutritionist program.
35:46
Andrea Nordling
We do it together. It is highly structured with checklists. You have a week to week checklist. Here's exactly what you should do. Here's what you should prioritize first. In fact, we do a customized 90 day roadmap when you join the program. This is fairly new. So if you are in TPN and you're hearing this and you're going, I have no idea what she's talking about with this roadmap. This is newly implemented. We have been testing it for a couple months now and the reviews are rave. Rave reviews from new students that are coming in the program and getting their 90 day roadmap, which is their exact checklist week to week based on how much time do they want to allocate to their business every week. Where are they currently starting? Are they an extrovert? Are they an introvert?
36:23
Andrea Nordling
What type of marketing activities do they prefer? We build it all together into a 90 day roadmap that gives you a very clear week by week checklist of what you should be prioritizing, what content in the program you need to go through in what order and what milestones you need to check off before you move to the next beat. It's very clear and very simple. And you do it in less time. That's the whole purpose of this episode. Do it in less time. Let's work smarter, not longer. Simple, simple. By the way, simple is not the same as easy. Okay? The reason that most people don't do this on their own is not because they're lazy or unmotivated. It's because they don't have the structure and they don't have the account ability to actually continue following through on it.
37:06
Andrea Nordling
And our brains are so compelling at making things more complicated and stopping progress. Halt. Stop. We shouldn't do that yet. We should get these T's crossed and I's dotted first. Then we can move forward. But guess what? The data actually move forward doesn't usually come if you are having conversations but you're unclear on what you're offering. For example, you don't have your offer dialed in. You don't know what your client delivery process is. Your offer isn't profitable enough. You don't believe in the pricing. You have serious money blocks. You don't want to have money conversations with people. You want a discount. You want to work for free. All of these things are going to make the conversations that you're having less exciting for you. It's going to make them.
37:47
Andrea Nordling
It's I don't want to plant the seed that they're not going to be fruitful because they certainly could be. And you can help a lot of people regardless. But you will be much more excited about initiating conversations if you feel confident in your offer and that you can get people results when and if you are having conversations with the right people or when you are referred to the right people. So that's what I am saying when I say that it works faster and better inside a structured program where you are incorporating all of these components together. Your time management. Yes. What you are prioritizing. Yes. The conversations that you are having with everyone under the sun that you possibly can be about your business so that you can refine your messaging. Yes.
38:26
Andrea Nordling
Very important but equally important is having the right offer that actually makes you money and helps people and having a very dialed in client delivery process that has proper milestones and activation points and evaluation points so that your clients for sure get results when they work with you. When you know that all of that is handled, you are going to confidently initiate more conversations. That's for sure. And by the way, that is what we do in the TPN program. Stage one of the program is making all of those decisions. Everything I just talked about, your niche, your branding, your time management, your offer, the components of your offer, the pricing of your offer, the client delivery process that you're bringing people through, all of that is what we make decisions on in stage one.
39:07
Andrea Nordling
So anytime you join the program, that's going to be the first thing that we work on. Then we get into stage two, three and four, which is having conversations, validating your offer, making your offer more efficient, increasing your production by working with more clients, because you have more effective and efficient systems that we bring into your business, having better sales conversations, how to structure your discovery calls, when you need to be prioritizing that website of yours. All of these are things that we do at later stages in the business. And there is a well thought out rhyme and reason for why we do it in a specific order. But all of that comes later. We have to make those decisions first in stage one. So you're confident to go have the conversations and validate the offer. Hopefully that makes sense.
39:52
Andrea Nordling
Now, why am I telling you that? Because at this exact moment, we are selling what is called the TPN Quick Start. Now, if you are a longer term listener to the podcast, you probably have heard me talk about the Quick Start a few times this year so far because we have launched it twice and in January, the first time I sold the quickstart, it was a hypothesis of mine that if we had people come in and just do stage one of what I teach in the TPN program. Again, stage one is making those foundational decisions on what to prioritize, how to structure your time, what niche are you working with, or no niche, the components of your offer, the pricing of your offer, your client delivery process.
40:30
Andrea Nordling
If we could get people through that stage where they are confident to then go out and sell, but if we could do that over the course of four weeks, the momentum that will be built is so fast and so high that people would start selling right away. This was my hypothesis. So I structured the first round of the Quick Start that you could come into the Quick Start for a low investment and then apply that investment towards the full TPN program anytime before the four weeks were over. Now, four weeks is an arbitrary timeline, but that's how long I've seen people take to go through Stage one. So that's how I structured it. We're going to do it together. Over the course of four weeks, there's going to Be live coaching calls. There's going to be evaluations every week.
41:10
Andrea Nordling
You get a checklist with exactly what to do. Completely congruent with what we do in the TPN program. But you'd get a little mini TPN experience with the Quick Start. So my hypothesis was that would be good, that would be good for people. They would get good results and they would upgrade into the program. What blew my mind is how many people got results so quickly and upgraded into the program and are continuing to build on that and compound and have amazing results after just the last few months. Because the first time we did this was in January. So I did it again in March. I said, we're going to test this again. We're going to do another round of the Quick Start. And we did. And the results were even better that time.
41:47
Andrea Nordling
People are getting faster results, they're getting more momentum, upgrading into the full program. Now we're seeing them continue that in the full container, which is a 12 month program. For those of you that aren't familiar, the profitable nutritionist program, which I call TPN is a 12 month container. Many people renew after the 12 months and continue working with us for years, but it's initially at least a 12 month commitment. So we see people coming in the quickstart, getting a ton of momentum and clarity, a lot of confidence in talking about what they do and selling their offer quickly. That is the goal. Right? And so the reason I say this is because if you're listening to this episode when it comes out, you too have the opportunity to come into the next round of the quickstart because we are doing it again.
42:29
Andrea Nordling
If something is working and people are getting results, you keep on doing it. Which is exactly what we're seeing in the quickstart. So we are starting another round of the TPN quick start on May 4th. It is Monday, May 4th, which means from now until Sunday, May 3rd, we will be allowing enrollments into the Quick Start. So you go to the profitablenutritionist.com start. It's also linked up in the description of this episode that is going to give you the full details of the next round of the TPN Quick Start, what's included in the four weeks, who it's for, and give you the link to get started so that you can save your spot. We start on May 4th, and again this is four weeks of live cohort. So every single week on Monday, you are going to get the curriculum for that week.
43:15
Andrea Nordling
It's going to be videos that you Follow along with and fill out a checklist. There's a very detailed checklist that goes along with each week. Monday you get that checklist, you start working on it. We have a coaching call together on Wednesdays and then you have an evaluation and check in on Friday. Super structured, it's paced really well. You, you cannot fall off. Okay? There's no free thinking involved. We tell you exactly what to do and in what order. And by the end of the four weeks you have your offer created, it's priced appropriately, you're confident in it, you know exactly what the process is that you are bringing your clients through and how to bulletproof it to make sure that they are going to get results again, which makes you so much more confident to sell it.
43:58
Andrea Nordling
So the Quick Start is for anyone who is just starting their business right now or who hasn't. Someone who hasn't made $10,000 in their offer in the last three months. So if that's you, if you're stalled out right now, come back to the basics, come back to the Quick Start. Let's recalibrate everything that you're doing right now. Make a simpler plan so that you can get the results that you want in less time. Again, the entire goal here is work smarter, not longer. Let's not keep doing things that aren't getting us results, even if they used to. Let's rethink a simpler solution. That's what we're doing in the Quick Start. And candidly, my goal here is that you do get quickly, you generate momentum and confidence and you join us in the full TPN program.
44:39
Andrea Nordling
So for those of you that are listening to this and you've been thinking about joining TPN for a while and you've been wondering when's the best time, I strongly recommend that you come into the quickstart. You get a really good sneak peek of what it is like to get coaching in the program. Because again, the Quick Start is a mini version of what we do every single week inside the big program. Come into the Quickstart. It's $597. You are going to get four weeks of immersive step by step process and coaching and then you can apply that $597 towards the full program anytime before June 5th. So I'm going to give you these dates. Again, we are enrolling in the current quick start until May 3rd. We start on May 4th. There is information inside your member portal right now.
45:22
Andrea Nordling
So when you join, do it now so that you can get into your portal and you can do the pre work and be ready to hit the ground running on May 4, which is the day that we start. We end this cohort of the quick start on June 5th. So from May 4th to June 5th and you can upgrade into the full TPN program and apply your $597 quick start enrollment to the full program anytime before June 5th. All of that is spelled out in detail with more of what's included and how it all works atthe profitable nutritionist.com start. Now if you are listening to this episode after we have done this round of the Quick Start and you wonder, are we going to do another round? Is there something else I should be doing? The answer is maybe and yes.
46:11
Andrea Nordling
So what you want to do is go to the description of this episode or click to the profitablenutritionist.com start and we will have a redirect on that page to whatever the next steps are so that you know what to do. And just know that everything that we do in the Quick Start is what is in the profitable Nutritionist program. So coming into the full program, you're going to get everything in the Quick Start and more. Okay. All right now my friend, I want to leave you with just a little bit of excitement about what is possible for you when you rethink how you are spending your time in your business, regardless of whether you are brand new or you've been at this for a while. I do this exact exercise myself.
46:50
Andrea Nordling
I audit my own time once a quarter and I look at where I'm spending my time and where I can just stop. Where can I simplify it? Where am I not even getting the results anymore or the big enough results for the time that I'm putting into this and the energy that it's taking me? And is there a way that I could simplify? Always be asking yourself this, but if you are just starting your business right now, I'm going to just give you the answer to the question you can simplify. And this simplest work week for you is five hours talking about your business and a half an hour at the end of the week evaluating those conversations.
47:24
Andrea Nordling
That is going to give you more insight and more momentum and more confidence than anything else you could be doing, which is going to allow you to move faster, to help more people and make more money. Especially if you pair that strategy with the rest of the structure that we teach you inside the Profitable Nutritionist program, which by the way, is going to show you how to sign at least three to five premium clients every month in 20 hours or less per week without posting on social media. And for a sneak peek on how to do that and get the ball rolling, go to the profitablenutritionist.com start and join the next round of the Quick Start. I'll see you there, my friend.
